Not an ad for the company, but I just wanted to give a quick review of the EZ4x4 2dr hard top lift, in case anyone was considering it. After doing a bit of research I settled on EZ4x4 because it seemed like they had identified the flaws in the other products, and corrected them. Shipping was free, and fast. It comes in 2 boxes, and took about 2 hours to assemble. The instructions are good, but the video is better. Very straightforward overall. After getting it together it was time to try it out. The whole process was perfect, and the top came off in minutes, with no issues. Once the lift is secure under the top, you just put in the 2 support arms above the roll bar. It might seem like a pain, but it literally took 30 seconds. The cart felt very secure while using it, and the straps that hook to the window hinges really give an additional level of security against falling. Putting the top back on, mere minutes before a torrential downpour, was a breeze. It lowers fast enough that your arm isn’t throbbing by the end, but also slow enough that you can line up the guide pins. EZ4x4 really thought of everything with this thing, it even folds up for storage. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone looking for a hard top lift. This is my first purchase from the company, but I’ve already seen a few more things that I’m going to pick up, like the hard top replacement bolts that can be tightened by hand. I’m on the fence about the alpha tube doors, so if anyone has an opinion on them I’d love to hear it. All in all, great product, great company, 5 stars!

I've had my lift about a month now. I can't agree more with everything you said above. It works great. It is easy to use, and I have confidence that it can handle the load. It also works if you have upgraded the rear speaker pods from 4" to 6.5".

Question for the experts...

I have a 2022 bronco, and also a 1972 bronco. Both have two doors. The '72's all steel top weighs probably 200 pounds, and it's probably bulkier than a moardor bronco top.

Can the four door EZ4X4 lifter be used on a gen6 two door(?) Can it also be used on a Gen1 hard top?

The 4DR Bronco Lift CANNOT be used on a 2DR Bronco (as it does not account for the roll bar). We have a separate lift for the 2DR Bronco. The lift can hold around 200 pounds, but since we haven't tested it for a Gen1 Bronco, we can't confirm whether or not it will work.
