I removed the driver's side sun visor the other day in order to remove the A-pilar trim so that I could wire my dashcam. I removed the bolt (at the pivot arm for the sun visor) and then angled the entire unit down to remove it from the plastic trim piece. When I did this, the metal clip that the bolt screws into somehow came loose and then got lost.

Here's a picture of the clip (passenger side)

So, I ordered Part #: W718517 "Liftgate Trim Panel Clip. Sun Visor Clip.".

These won't stay in place. I insert them by pushing them up so that they will snap into place. When the visor is reinstalled and screwed in, when I flip the visor down, the unit torques and the bracket comes out along with the clip.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Any ideas on how to make the clip stay put? After installing it, I tried to push out the "arms" that are intended to keep it in. I have no issue with the clip on the passenger side.

Thanks.

I don't recall pushing them up into place, I slid them in place. I do remember that they were an absolute PITA to get screwed in. I finally got them screwed back in by having the sun visor extend and at approximately a 45 degree angle (the same way they were taken out).
