I just put one on order myself this weekend. When I drive out to visit my mom in Illinois, I've taken to leaving after work, and driving til 1 or 2 in the morning, then sleeping in a rest-stop. Sleeping in the 2 door is doable, but not in the slightest comfortable. I'm hoping the hammock will resolve that problem.
Be interested to hear your report. I don’t plan on sleeping in the vehicle often, but would be good to have this for an every once in a while option, if you tell me it’s worth it! I’m 6’1” for the record!I just put one on order myself this weekend. its comfy but getting in and out is the main annoyance. Late night peeing is not advised. Also helps to be short.I just put one on order myself this weekend. I've gotten plenty of good nights rest in that hammock. Not having to setup a tent and breaking it down in the morning has been an absolute joy for me.I’m 6’2 and don’t mind my feet hanging out one bit.
I travel for work and do the same thing on long hauls. Beats trying to sleep in the seat.
@KT_bronco those 2 am bathroom runs kinda suck. Especially in the winter and after a few too many beers but I sleep better than in a tent.
I think getting in and out would be a lot easier with a latch on the swing gate. I've seen some people who've made that hack with some 550 cord, but I haven't taken that route yet.its comfy but getting in and out is the main annoyance. Late night peeing is not advised. Also helps to be short.
Couple of more nuanced notes, the main issue of getting in and out is doing it with a sleeping bag, other wise it's pretty easy. Also in cold climates hanging seems to bring in more cold air on my back so trying to situate my electric blanket in the bottom of the hammock with the sleeping bag together has caused me a lot of frustration. End of nuanced bronco sleeping hammock notes for the 2 door, since 4 door seems to have a different setup you can go with.I think getting in and out would be a lot easier with a latch on the swing gate.
