Thinking of getting the IAG EZ lift that helps lift the soft top to get into trunk but someone told me that lifting that too high can ruin side windows.

Not being able to lift the back is really horrible for using the trunk. Is it really that bad on side windows to do this?

I like the idea of the EZ lift for utilizing the trunk better and it also helps when putting the top back on when it's all the way down. Just want to make sure it's not going to ruin those side windows quickly.

Thanks

Thanks for considering the best product to resolve Ford's lack of attention, lol. There have been extreme cases of side windows breaking in sub-zero temps. Aside from that, they are meant to flex. The EZ lift increases the opening slightly, but no more than you could lift it by hand with the prop rod.

We are about a week away from re-releasing our EZ pull system to go along with the struts. It offers a single pull release for your soft top. The combo price is a great deal at around $250.

Right, it doesn't lift it any higher...it's just easier. Once the windows are out, it lifts it much higher.

I love the struts. It does in fact lift slightly higher than the prop rod but it has not caused any damage to my windows at all. Not to mention it is way more convenient to move stuff around without the prop rod in the way. Highly recommend.

On top of that IAG is a great company with excellent products and even better customer service. I give them props on here whenever I get a chance because of how awesome they were to work with!

The struts were one of my very first mods. Awesome. Never had any problems with the windows. Getting rid of the prop rod and ability to lift back easier and higher are all positives.
