I have two (right and left), new in box, removable hardtop windows (with frames) for a Heritage edition, 2-door. Local dealership ordered them by accident when trying to find new windows for my top to solve a leak per their SOP.
I ended up with them after all was said and done. Never installed although my intent was to mount them from the inside to account for the missing depth of a standard non-mic top. The math works, but sadly I need to sell them…. $1500 obo, willing to ship at buyers expense. Thank you!!

Ps. Sorry about not having the hand written note included in the post, but my face is in the reflection of one of the windows if that works!

Any idea if they will work with a regular painted mod top? I know the first heritage models had these removable windows, and then they just got standard windows after a Job 2 update or something. Question being, as long as you’ve got the opening in your 2-door painted mod top, will they snap right in?

To the best of my knowledge the newer painted mic top is no different from the standard tops that came on all other broncos….. that being said this was my idea, which I was sold on. If mounted in the inside of the top with the frame poking through the window opening, it would take up the difference in depth from the older MIC tops to the standard tops. The math and measurements says it would work, if you were to have the frames mounted on the inside of your top. For me it didn’t matter, but I never tried it, NY bills don’t dictate me playing with my toys unfortunately. If slight shimming is needed I planned on printing a spacer that would fit my needs. If you pm me I will give you my cell number so I can explain a little better. I’m not very good at typing my explanations…….

I understand. I really only have one question about these- I understand the glass is removable from the frame, but as far as you know how is the frame mounted to the hardtop? Glue? Hard fasteners?

They would be glued in normally, same as your current windows are.

Okay, thank you. And that's probably something best done by a dealer/bodyshop? Or with automotive 3M glue at home?

I was going to have my local glass shop remove my windows and then install them myself. The parts store I use sells professional stuff as well so I was going to purchase the adhesive that they recommended. I don’t think it was 3m per se but probably that same window sealant/adhesive.

I guess it all depends on your confidence level. I personally have installed many window’s over the years.

I fully believe anything can fit if you want it too! Seriously though, I do believe they can. If they were installed normally (like your current glass) being glued to the outside of the top they tend to stick out by 1/8” - 1/4” depending on how much adhesive is applied. My intent was to adhere them to the inside of the top, so that the frame was on the inside but the windows sat and sealed to the outside of the top itself. The windows have a rubber strip to prevent water leaks and such. The thickness of a MIC top is just about the same as the gap difference in a standard heritage inset window cutout. If need be I was going to print a spacer if required. However I do not believe it is needed.
