Title pretty much covers it. Recently got the recall for the rear camera to be replaced and the software update that comes with it completed. I’ve noticed in the last 3 weeks that it’s a 50/50 shot on if the vehicle will start through the app. Has anyone else seen this?
I’ve done all the usual low level stuff like deleting and reinstalling the app with no change. I know it has good cellular connectivity as well, never had problems in the past at my house starting it

I have it happen to me on occasion. Simply just slide the bar across a second time and it usually works.

Anything software related with Ford has been hit or miss for years. That's why I turned off all the Sync updates. Every time it used to update, Android Auto would be fucked up for months.

if your battery gets low from not driving alot the first thing the bronco does is shut off the app features to save battery power.

You might need to put a trickle charger on it and make sure if you do you install it correctly or the car will not know you are charging the battery.

What would be the right, or wrong, way to install a trickle charger? I expect to simply connect a battery tender to the battery terminals, is there something I don't know?

Connect the ground to the tab coming off the BMS or a chassis ground. Not to the negative battery clamp.

you will notice a "box" on the negative terminal of the battery that is the sensor that reads incoming and outgoing charges. In order for the car to know its being charged you have to hook up to that "box" on the side away from the battery terminal so it knows juice is coming into the battery or a body ground.

You can watch hours of info on it on Youtube if you want and in depth answer.

BTW the battery will charge no mater where you hook up the negative this is just to let the car know about it.

You’re not wrong but this is new behavior. Bronco didn’t go into power saving mode so much before the software updates.

Happens to me too. I notice on occasion up top it says the vehicle is “ON”, not “PARKED” as it should. Wonder if that has something to do with it? It is parked, and not running.
