The fact you are on here talking to us is great, I really do appreciate it. I mean no offense to you or Genesis, just speaking about my experience is all.
Thank you for all the feedback, that is very helpful.

When we launched the Bronco kit, we asked the community for help with verifying the fitment in other trim levels and engine options. We had a couple customers report to us that it fit in their Raptor, so we updated our site to say it did in fact fit the Raptor. So the difficulties that you describe have not been reported to us, at least not in that much detail. It is completely possible that other Raptor owners had to do the same steps that you describe, but they just did it and didn't let us know. Again, that's why feedback is so important.

Did you happen to get any pictures while you were installing it? I certainly wouldn't ask you to remove anything just to get pictures for us, but anything you could provide so that I could see what you're seeing would be tremendously helpful.

Thanks again,
Shane

Hey sorry you are dealing with this. Couple of suggestions. Take the top cover off and make sure everything is tight. There were 3 nuts under mine that weren’t even hand tight so I had to tighten them all down. I have seen others complaining about this as well and Genesis acknowledged it. I will try and find the posts.

Also, make sure the positive terminal block is making a good connection to the cranking battery. With all the issues I had with mine, my assumption is they did zero testing with the Raptor because they claimed it fit but that was not the case. Not even close. I just barely got the positive terminal block up and over the cranking battery terminal. I had to get up inside the engine bay and cut all of the zip ties holding the wire bundle on just to get an extra quarter inch to make it work. All the other connections to the negative and positive on both batteries were ok, just triple check they are tight.

1 thing I did as well was added a Noco trickle charger to my cranking battery and I always plug it in when it’s parked in the garage. I noticed when I don’t plug it in and don’t drive it for a few days, it starts fine but my battery voltage jumps up to almost 15 volts and hovers around there until I have driven it for a couple hours. I cycle the Bronco and it drops back down to around 12.9 to 13 volts. If I have it on the trickle charger all night it starts up and stays in this same range.

Knock on wood it’s been awhile since I have had any issues. I couldn’t honestly tell you what fixed it, just seems to work itself out after awhile. When it does happen, the fix is turning the Bronco off, opening the driver side door, wait 5 seconds, shut it and start it back up and problem goes away. I know it sounds ridiculous but sometimes you do what you gotta do. 😂

I can’t imagine dealing with this if I wasn’t comfortable with troubleshooting and fixing it on my own. If that weren’t the case I would have sent this thing back without hesitation. I like the concept and the guys at Genesis have tried to help, but i don’t think they have spent the time working out the bugs for the Bronco. I am not surprised at all with your statement about your interactions with them.
Thanks. Like you, I found that the bolts under the cover were not tight. I tightened those down and went on a 4 day camping trip. I ran the boost manually, ie in On when driving and Off when camping. Things seemed to work. When I got home I added the engine sensor and put the unit into Auto. I have not seen an error message but I have only driven it a couple of times. Fingers crossed it is working.

Which bolts did you tighten? I am going to make an assumption that you're referring to the 3 different size nuts on our bus bars, where you would attach accessory wires. If that is correct, then that is normal, we do not tighten those nuts during assembly. You can easily remove those nuts by hand in order to attach your accessory wires there, then you would tighten the nut down.

I tightened the bolts for the positive and negative lines under the cover. I was only able to access 2 of the wires as I didnt want to break the cover taking it off. These bolts were inside the unit but were accessible via a wrench. They were not loose but they were not tight. I was able to tighten the bolts 3/4-1 full turn. There were not the bus bar bolts.

Ok thank you for that information. I have reviewed this with our assembly team to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Does the "engine on" sensor install pretty easy? I am thinking of putting one in since my Bronco has BMS service flashing everytime its a little chilly out. The smart alternator doesn't help at all and I am not even running a lot of stuff. I thought that the DCDC charger is the solution that fixes it without bandaging, but it turns out to be a $ 1100 + affair. Guess i shall try first with the engine sensor wire and then of that doesn't fix it, shall probably revert back to stock.

Update: I finally got everything sorted out. I called and spoke with Mike at Genesis a few times to help me troubleshoot the issue. Although the things he suggested didn’t necessarily fix the issue, having him explain in detail how the system worked helped me better understand what was going on. Last thing he had me do was switch the batteries around in the tray thinking the cranking battery may be having issues. I did that and still had the same thing happen.

I was at a loss at this point. I watched the video from Genesis explaining how the G screen works again. You can make changes to the system directly from the G screen, particularly the Boost On/Off function by pressing the screen down for 3 seconds. So I flipped through the different screens and noticed Boost was on. I held down the G screen button and turned it off, now the G screen showed Auto On. Cycled the ignition, let the Bronco sit for awhile and tried it again. Fired it up and the issue was gone! I spent the next couple of hours testing it by starting it, shutting it off, letting it sit, etc. and the issue has not returned. It’s been a couple days now and it is working perfectly.

I should also mention I hooked up the “engine on” sensor as well. After understanding how the system works, not sure that should be optional, it should be standard. For the Bronco at least. Anyways, happy it is working. My only complaint with the setup is it doesn’t really fit the Raptor. I let Mike know what I had to do to get it to fit so maybe they can redesign the battery tray so anyone who orders it doesn’t have to do what I did. Thanks to everyone who responded!
Just wanting to ask where did you plus in the ends of the engine on sensor cable on the bronco? I know the fuse end goes to any "hot on ignition fuse but whre does the other end go.?
