Had some inspiration from another member in a different group for this Baja Designs S1 amber pod install. I don’t know why but I just can’t get over how awkward putting pods in the corner pockets of the mod bumper looks. It just looks off, so when I saw another member custom mount on the inside of the bumper using the bronco bolts I was sold immediately. I had to piece together hardware and modify some the Baja designs mounting hardware but looks awesome. This are my first Baja design lights. I’ve only had rigid before. For how small these pod lights are they put out just as much light as my headlights. I can’t imagine what those LP9s would look like. Probably the surface of the sun.

Same idea. Mounted my Squadrons in that center hole.
It just seems natural there.

They look great!

The other day I was playing in photoshop and put some S1s there for fun and thought they looked good. How are they working out? Any issues with anything over heating or adaptive cruise control or any of those things?

How did you mount them? Any specific bracket or DIY? Love some more details if you don't mind sharing.

No issues at all with adaptive or overheating. My bronco didn’t come with fogs so I bought the OEM headlight switch with fog light button for like $80, then connected them directly to the factory fog light connector that is up behind the bumper. I could have used an AUX switch but i wanted a new challenge. For mounting I used two factory modular bumper holes and went to Home Depot and bought either 1/2” or 3-4” hex riser with female threaded inserts on both ends. Worked beautifully. Only wish is that they were SAE lights because the S1s are so bright they’ll blind everyone if you use them on the street

Glad to hear you are enjoying the lights! You can also swap the lenes on them as well if you are ever looking to change up your setup!. 1 Lp9 is equivalent to 5.5 S1's :cwl:

I purchased Sport Light Bar through Summit Racing. The was a L bracket that was came damaged and had poor powder coating. I placed a claim with Summit Racing 4 weeks ago and they are stating Baja Design is non-Responsive. Summit Racing is now asking to send the complete light bar kit back as a complete warranty claim and get a complete replacement. That does not make sense. Is there someone at Baja Design I can call to figure this out.

Have you ever had any issues with overheating? I know that's in the high risk zone. OP said that he's been fine but Squadrons are larger.

Could you send a few other pics if possible?

I've photoshopped some and they do look cool but always nice seeing real photos and hearing how they are holding up.

Thank you!

Zero issues. They don’t block any appreciable airflow.
At SuperCel with limited internet so no pics handy to upload right now.

Could be a dumb question but are there lenses that make them SAE compliant
