Subject: Technical Fitment Issue: Westin XTS Brush Guard (Part #59-751266) - 2026 Ford Bronco Badlands, 4 Door

Looks like this is still an issue starting from year 2023.

The brush guard is being installed on a brand-new 2026 Ford Bronco Badlands (4-Door) equipped with the OEM Steel Modular Bumper. While following the provided instructions, I have encountered a significant alignment discrepancy that prevents the installation of the T-40 mounting bolts.

Issue Details:

  • Current Status: All main retention bolts and T-40 adjustment bolts are loose to allow for maximum movement.
  • Alignment: Despite adjusting the guard through the full range of motion (left, right, in, and out), the mounting holes on the brush guard brackets do not align with the threaded holes on the OEM bumper.
  • Driver’s Side: The bracket hole is offset to the point that the T-40 bolt cannot be inserted without cross-threading or damaging the bumper's internal threads.
  • Passenger Side: Two specific T-40 holes are obstructed by the lower edge/lip of the bracket, making it impossible to seat the hardware.
I have attached five high-resolution images for review. These photos clearly show the "down-view" obstructions and the lack of clearance even with the hardware fully loosened. I am very satisfied with the design and quality of the guard, but the current geometry of these brackets appears to be out of spec for this vehicle's modular bumper.

In defense of Westen we did contact Technical Support and their engineers are going to look at this. When I spoke to customer service they stated that they were not aware of these fitment issues with the OEM Modular Steel bumpers. I find that hard to believe due to all of the comments that haven posted here.

Update: 12-March-2026

Westen Technical support has been very supportive and quick to respond.

The install instructions "P.N.: 75-59751255-Revision A" that came with the Westen Brush Guard is outdated. I have attached the updated instructions "P.N.: 75-59751255-RevB".

Do Not Use: “RevA says the wings and light channels should be assembled and then installed onto the bumper while it is on the vehicle. "

Use this guidance: RevB says the bumper should be removed, the wings should be installed onto the bumper separately, and then the light channels should be installed. If the customer uses the steps from RevB, they should be able to rotate the wings and line up the slots with the holes in the bumper.”

RevB makes sense. If you try to install the wings first, without removing the bumper, and then try to install the horizontal guard rails you would have a difficult time trying to bolt those rails in due to limited space.

Will post an update
later after we install using RevB

I ran into this problem as well and had to fully tighten down the bolts on the side of the bumper so it would push the bar into place so the top ones could be inserted. Couldn’t install every bolt loosely, had to keep them out until the front facing ones were tight.
the first time you install this is a pain but after that it’s easy if you need to remove it

Update: Fitment issues resolved

Westin XTS Brush Guard (Part #59-751266) Ford Bronco installed on OEM Steel Modular Bumper issue resolved.

Thanks much to Westen technical support and forum members for guidance on this install.

Westin might still be shipping this bumper with install instructions "P.N.: 75-59751255-Revision A" and it is outdated.

When using updated instructions "P.N.: 75-59751255-RevB" fitment issues were resolved.

When using the updated install instructions, Westen suggested to remove the bumper. Once the bumper has been removed install the wings and light channels, then remount the bumper.

We found that it is much easier if you install the passenger and driver wings onto the bumper before you remove the bumper. When using this method, it does add a little weight to the bumper during removal but is manageable. Two persons for the removal and install of the bumper is recommended. Make sure that you leave the T-40 bolts loose on the bumper, do not tighten. This allows for alignment and proper fitment.

Now that you have installed both wings, remove the bumper. Lay the bumper down, install the lower and upper light channels. We suggest that you install the lower light channel first and then mount the upper light channel.

Remount the bumper, install all support brackets, adjust as necessary, tighten all T-40 bolts.

My review of the Westen Westin XTS Brush Guard (Part #59-751266) installed on a 2026 Ford Bronco Badlands.

Purchase price: $408.39

Installation Time: 2 Hours + or -

Westen Customer Support:
Very responsive. We submitted a ticket due to fitment issues. Technical support responded within 5 minutes. Updated installation "P.N.: 75-59751255-RevB" was sent to us via email. Wish other dealers, vendors were as responsive as Westen was.

The Westin XTS Brush Guard is sturdy, affordable, and well-designed for off-road use, featuring high-quality powder coating and easy installations. Robust steel construction. This is a solid," "high quality," and "heavy-duty" brush guard. The textured black powder coat should hold up well, even in harsh conditions, providing good corrosion resistance. We did not see any issues with equipped sensors after the install. This is a "bolt-on" brush guard with no drilling required. In our opinion, this is not a very aggressive looking brush guard which was fine with us.

Conclusion: Buy with confidence from Westen. (y)
