I have a 2024 Big Bend Bronco with the 7 speaker audio system and was wanting to see what the best options are for replacing the factory sub with something that would sound better with the stock amp and location. Also bonus question is what is the wattage on the factory sub.

With the stock amp, the stock speaker is the best match.

You can go to a 6.75” sub, and the Kicker 2 Ohm would be the obvious replacement (factory non B&O is 2 Ohm), but honestly I don’t believe it’s worth the effort to tear it out and replace the speaker without adding an amplifier with it.

Throw a bigger amp at it though and whole different ballgame. Kicker 500.1 is popular around here and will easily power up to a 10” (with an aftermarket enclosure) in the factory location. You can just barely fit some 8” subs in the factory enclosure with some modification. All of that can fit in stock location.

pre MY25 the non B&O sub amp was 55W per channel, two channel at 2 Ohms. MY25 changed the sub amp though so not sure what if that changed.

I just put a kicker 6.75 in my enclosure with the stock amp. I wanted to try something simple without having to modify the box and to get some experience. It definitely sounds better and for $110 bucks I would do it again.

What would you say changed when you swapped over to the Kicker? Does it have cleaner bass, louder bass, more bass, etc.?

Yeah all of the above. I'm not an aficionado by any means but the stock sub wasn't doing anything. I didn't want to pull out the whole housing to mount a bigger amp but now that I've gotten my feet wet I'll be sure to making more upgrades down the road. Now it's cleaner and louder without shaking the entire car.

The hardest part was getting the panel out. I have a 24 BB 2 door and there is a dog leg stantion that goes from the panel to the body that I cracked and had to epoxy. I used the wiring harness from the amp to the original sub and it was long enough. You will need 8 #8 by 1 inch screws to mount the amp to the plastic housing.

This was very helpful. The only difference is my panel is one piece, it doesn't have that cut out in the middle. I would definitely recommend pulling all 3 panels. I tried to sneak in on the side but there wasn't enough room.

Planning on doing this. Did you get the 4ohm or 2ohm?

For most folks you should get the 4 Ohm and wire the coils in parallel to a single channel amp

There are exceptions to that rule but this covers the vast majority of how most people use these subwoofers

I got the two ohm because that's what comes with the stick system. I think the BO is a 4 ohm
Did you wire in parallel also?
