Haven't tried to zoom in on a plate, but since that is a function of the mirror, I assume so. Picture through glass is plenty clear enough. I can see people's faces through their windshields without zooming so I'm sure. Wiring was a breeze. I have wired other items through the rollbar/airbags path such as in-cab lighting so it wasn't the first time I had done it. Overall install was an hour probably. This is a good idea. Are you able to zoom in the instance of getting a license plate behind you? Was it easy to hide the wires?

I just installed my Wolfbox and am trying to find the best location for the rear camera. I really like this idea. It would also make removing the top easier if the wiring was run right.I got a suction cup mount on Amazon and stuck it to the rear window.

I use an AGS off-road mount to put my camera in the spare. Very clean install but I still need to figure out a cover to keep the rain and water off. Bronco needs a bath but here are some pictures and a link to the mount.

I reached out to you SoloBronco trying to get some more info on this setup mount.
I just sent you a response with links to the products I used but adding here to share with the community.I reached out to you SoloBronco trying to get some more info on this setup mount.
Can you share a pic of what both views look like from this position (rear facing and rock crawl use)? This mount option is intriguing, since I don't pull a trailer....![]()
This is working great for me.
Make sure you put heat shrink tubing over the rear camera connector. It is not waterproof.
And big thanks to WolfBox customer support who had a replacement sent out asap.
With my setup you can also have a ‘rock crawling’ mode by flipping it down with the included bracket. No need to re-mount. It swivels.

How much to print me one?I just went with the same approach as some have already shown, inside the spare. Only difference is I modeled it and printed in PETG-CF, yes, I'm too cheap to spend the $100+ for what others used. Next I'll modify it again to have a spot for my air chuck.

I'm wondering about keeping the outside cam lenses unscratched. Seems like they're going to get a lot of road dirt, especially in back. Cleaning that off repeatedly could permanently scratch the lens and make the cam view a lot less clear.Thank you all for your sharing! We're so glad to participate in your journey! Let the adventure stories be told!![]()
We don't have a special cover for outside cams for now. But I suggest that you can use rain-x to repel droplet, and it shoud be of help to protect the cam.I'm wondering about keeping the outside cam lenses unscratched. Do you have any product, or are you aware of any product, that could be used to cover and protect the lens?
I'm curious as to how well it will handle road spray when roads are wet. I'm currently in the upper left with my mount, and all the water that gets kicked up coats the lens, making it un-usable. I have a hydrophobic coating on there, so eventually is clears up. Thinking I need to 3D print some sort of shield to put below camera, but curious as your location is closer to the tire itself below, wonder if that will make any difference. Water from below is definitely the problem, not from above.I originally mounted mine on the roll bar. This worked excellent until I put my top on. Then I couldn't see more than one car length behind me. So I relocated it to the spare tire with a AGS mount. I"m going to change it, right now it's more of a semi permanent mock up done with what was handy at the time. I'm also moving it as high as possible. It just looks weird seeing cars that low.
