The shifting on the 10 speed is absolute trash, especially off road. A tune is necessary just for that reason. And it would have to be an afermarket tune, as the Ford tune doesn't fix the crazy downshift RPM flair to my knowledge.
No, I think it's available mid package and up, at least when I ordered mine. I'd recommend at least sitting in the different seats before making a choice but I found these seats are better and not just upholstery difference.
The leather trimmed seats have different foam and bolstering, which I found more comfortable. They are also power adjustable and have more adjustment than the other seats, like the tilt of the base, which to my knowledge isn't adjustable on the other seats. I got them for the padding and...
Yeah, the downshift strategy for these vehicles is so bad that it's borderline dangerous, especially in 4 low when you think shifting down will slow you down and instead the computer makes a poor attempt at rev matching and just accelerates the vehicle instead. And since you're in 4 low, the...
It seems like some individual vehicles are cursed. That's a lot of bad shit happening basically from day one and for no good reason. Meanwhile other people like me have years of use and abuse with no problems.
I can't believe this 4L screaming downshift is still an issue with these things. I have a '22 that I took to the dealer for an updated calibration hoping it would fix it but it still does it. I was wheeling today and also noticed that if you get hard on the gas and let off, it keeps going like...
I got the RCI sliders on mine, they were about the only bolt on frame mounted sliders available at the time. They're tough; I slammed down on them off a ledge by accident and I hit them hard enough that I could see where they kissed the pinch weld on the body. No permanent bending or real damage...
I got a 2022 that’s had cracking like that on the driver’s side window panel for roughly the last year and it hasn’t gotten worse. I’m not taking a chance replacing it because I feel lucky that the rest of the top is perfect and it’s barely noticeable in that one spot.
I didn't see this one on the forums, but someone had their's burn down while parked in the driveway. Comes from my local Bronco FB group. Said they were have weird electrical gremlins with the windows before it happened. Someone else commented that they had similar problems and almost caught...
If a proper 90° crank V8 sounds terrible to you, then you're the type of person that asks your wife's boyfriend for permission to speak at the dinner table.
You're kind of right. The detail difference is that the FAD models only spin the spider gears 100% of the time (when the FAD is in disconnect mode) but the rest of the differential is not moving (ring and pinion, driveshaft). In 4A models, the spider gears aren't spinning but everything else is...
For my own understanding, are you saying that the computer starts with 87 timing tables and ramps up, as opposed to starting with 91 octane tables and pulls back? When I say "expects", I mean the computer tries to run 91 octane unless it can't. I don't know where the starting point is since I've...
I can't tell if you're trolling or not. Not being pedantic, just want to make sure people get correct information. The stock calibration is also "expecting" 91 octane. If you run lower octane, the computer pulls timing to adjust. The tune does not alter this. It simply enables more aggressive...
