Sad post is sad. As much as we loved the Bronco, it no longer suited us for what we needed/wanted in a family hauler. My wife has always had a soft spot for Land Rovers and has always like the new Defenders. There was no way I was buying a new one, and she wanted some pretty specific things so...

I've been through plenty of sugar sand without airing down or putting the thing in any modes or lockers. Just keep your eyes out ahead of you to see what is coming next. I'll usually do 4A and keep my momentum. Light throttle if needed to pick up a bit of speed.

Technically the Bronco is my wife's. I have other toys in the garage... Though one is technically a wagon, but still only has 2 doors! And my daily is a Golf R, which unfortunately no longer has the option for only 2 doors but it is a manual! Gave up my 2 door GTI for it earlier this year. And...

I've used trunk jack twice and I actually thought it was ok. Sure there are better options - if you're prepared. But I've also used MUCH worse. You all ever used a VW/Audi jack? They don't call those the widow-maker for nothing! I had one fold up on my roadside once...

Proximity functionality can be finicky. But I'm not sure that's my problem, as the car will recognize (by flashing lights) that my hand is there. Which I'm assuming would NOT be happening if it were actually a proximity issue.

Oh I'm quite familiar with Land Rover reliability first hand lol. All jokes aside though I think some of it is blown out of proportion. But somewhat ironically, I currently have a stuck tailgate on the Rover lol. However that's a discussion for another thread....and once I get my tailgate(s)...

Yeah saw that too. I just find it odd that when I grab the handle, the lights flash and come on as they would normally, but the tailgate will not unlock. If something were disconnected, I'd imagine nothing at all would happen, no? And again, using fob buttons does not unlock it either.
