  1. For The Record - OBX Journal

Sad post is sad. As much as we loved the Bronco, it no longer suited us for what we needed/wanted in a family hauler. My wife has always had a soft spot for Land Rovers and has always like the new Defenders. There was no way I was buying a new one, and she wanted some pretty specific things so...
  2. Looking to do some first-time off-roading in the sand! Looking for advice...

I've been through plenty of sugar sand without airing down or putting the thing in any modes or lockers. Just keep your eyes out ahead of you to see what is coming next. I'll usually do 4A and keep my momentum. Light throttle if needed to pick up a bit of speed.
  3. Moardoor Monday: Let's See Them Four Doors

Technically the Bronco is my wife's. I have other toys in the garage... Though one is technically a wagon, but still only has 2 doors! And my daily is a Golf R, which unfortunately no longer has the option for only 2 doors but it is a manual! Gave up my 2 door GTI for it earlier this year. And...
  4. Moardoor Monday: Let's See Them Four Doors

Old pic but we sort of needed the 4 door.....
  5. Caught my first flat ..

I've used trunk jack twice and I actually thought it was ok. Sure there are better options - if you're prepared. But I've also used MUCH worse. You all ever used a VW/Audi jack? They don't call those the widow-maker for nothing! I had one fold up on my roadside once...

Welcome! I was in Citrus this weekend. Dry dry dry!
  7. Picture of the Day.

    No mud. LOTS of dust.
  8. For The Record - OBX Journal

Slow year for the Bronco with the arrival of the Range Rover. But I was able to get out for a little excursion for the first time in forever! It was supposed to be a weekend camping trip but plans changed and could only make it out for the day. I ALMOST took the Rover, but it made the decision...
  9. Rear Tailgate Won't Unlock

Alright so a little follow up. I got back there, popped off the trim panel and was able to unlatch it with a pair of long needle nose pliers. Once I had it open, I was able to inspect it and it seems as if it was just "stuck". Once I manually unlatched it, it seemed to lock and unlock no...
  10. Rear Tailgate Won't Unlock

What plastic piece? The one that @Brian_B mentioned? Pop that off and take a peek in there? I Just need to crawl my ass back there I guess and poke around lol
  11. Rear Tailgate Won't Unlock

Proximity functionality can be finicky. But I'm not sure that's my problem, as the car will recognize (by flashing lights) that my hand is there. Which I'm assuming would NOT be happening if it were actually a proximity issue.
  12. Rear Tailgate Won't Unlock

Oh I'm quite familiar with Land Rover reliability first hand lol. All jokes aside though I think some of it is blown out of proportion. But somewhat ironically, I currently have a stuck tailgate on the Rover lol. However that's a discussion for another thread....and once I get my tailgate(s)...
  13. Rear Tailgate Won't Unlock

This is where my wife will tell me she wants a Defender. :ROFLMAO:
  14. Rear Tailgate Won't Unlock

Yeah saw that too. I just find it odd that when I grab the handle, the lights flash and come on as they would normally, but the tailgate will not unlock. If something were disconnected, I'd imagine nothing at all would happen, no? And again, using fob buttons does not unlock it either.
