I've never been a fan of that stuff. Works great for areas that are not very visible, (hinges when doing wraps or chrome deletes,), but I would never use it as a primary source of color.

Not an advertisement. Believe me when I say, I do not want to wrap these tops. Pay me enough, and i'm sure I would with the contigency that I would never warranty it. I stand behind our products and my work, but no way this can last. This is simply a long explanation of what happened and how...
This is alot, so I did what I don't usually do and sent it to Chat GPT, for your benefit to clean this up.

2023 Ford Bronco Raptor with factory MIC hard top issues.
Two panels were replaced under warranty due to cracking/defects:
Mid-panel (early 2025)
Rear section (January 2026)...
I'm looking at a couple places as well and on one seems to offer a finer texture. I also don't want a course finish. Just hoping Ford pulls through and makes this right.

I don't think a ban of the product is the answer. I've had 3 prior and great experoiences. It's Ford's unwillingness to make it right, it's under warranty and should be fixed back to the condition I gave it to them in (visually).
How long has it been?
I've been in the graphics/wrap business for 26 years. Unless they covered it in 3M primer 94, the adhesive is not strong enough to absorb into the texture, it's designed for paint-like smooth surfaces to be long-term. It can be done, but not recommended. For what it...
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Glad it had a happy ending, which seems rare in these situations for most. It sure is nice to know some people. I hate to call on those, but do know a few that might be able to put me in contact with a "higher up". I really don't have...
My line of work would be to wrap it, and unfortunately, these MIC tops cannot be wrapped. Paint is possible for a costly expense, but (1), I don't want paint and (2) I shouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket for a Ford issue.

The dreaded hardtop issue.
I avoided it for years, but it finally got me on Bronco number 4. I purchased this one (a pre-owned 23 loaded Raptor) end of 2024, still with warranty. I saw the cracks and knew I would be in for it eventually. January 2025 I went in for the claim and they replaced...
We prefer the matte black on most colors. Beinga s the spear area is a V notch, the color will double s two shades. This color variance works best with the matte black, ...or a two-color spear.

I had my mid-panel replaced under warranty. The cracks in the rear clamshell were not bad enough yet to claim they said. Now I have a lightger mid-panel than the front and rear. So, 8 months later the cracks have gotten worse and the midpanel is showing the composite pattern. I'm hoping for...
