I originally had the safety set at 22 lb on the JB4 and was hitting that limit but I moved it up to 24 lb and I haven't hit that yet. The only reason I went up to e50 was because I was seeing the timing cut at the top of the power band on map4. Daily driving I could probably get away with map...
I'm still deep in my warranty period, so custom tuning is out of the question for me until the warranty ends. Since you're warranty is ending I would say go the custom tune route. For those that are still within warranty the FPP tune is really only worth it because it updates the transmission...
I've never done this kind of mileage in a pov, but I was a field engineer for NM, western and central Texas, and parts of OK for 10-11 years and I regularly did 50-60k per year. Back then a 3 hour drive was normal and 6 would have been long enough to bitch about a little bit 😂. 3-4 hours and...
I have the 24 Wildtrak non-B&O and this part number worked for me. I would use a mirror or some kind of small camera to look up at the ACM and make sure there's no pins that are bent and make sure that there's no block off on the female side where there might be a pin on your male side.
Full stock Wildtrak with only 1.5 spacers added. Perfect poke for me without looking like a RC truck.
No rub or anything like that on road. Slightly less turning radius over stock, but only barely noticable.
I used these spacers and have been running them since March. Before that I had a...
I do agree with you on one point and that's the number of gears! 10 speeds is crazy in this application, esp condensed to a 0-100 mph range, haha.
On the other points, I think you just have a case of spring nostalgia. The 2.7 gives ~250 lb-ft torque at 2500rpm and 300 at 2750! If you want...
Okay, now we are getting somewhere...we think it's turbo lag. How are you launching the 2.7? This is the basic idea on the 2.7:
Sport mode, 4wd Hi, Manual, 2nd Gear, Long Hold TC off, rev to 3000-3500, hold for a second, release the brake, floor the gas, bump shifter up to D ASAP.
I'm sure a...
I would bet one truck had 33s and the other had 32s. Depending on package they could also have different final drive ratios. Even assuming they both have 4.46 gears, having 32" tires effectively ups the ratio to ~4.6 vs the other truck and doesn't consider the weight. The 33s are ~78lbs and...
That looks to be a lot of force on that mounting point. Could easily sheer any part of that.
I mounted a small air tank on the side of the roll bar in my previous Jeep and after a couple of months, one of the legs for the air tank ripped at the bend and the other was already significantly...
I appreciate the correction on the math. And I'm downloading the app now actually. Point still stands that it can take quite a while to recoup the cost of the tune if overall cost savings is your goal. If you're just looking for an excuse to get a tune, well I think we'll support you here and...
It is PWM for sure to save on wear and tear. No need to run at 100% if the driver never gets on it. And you can run the inectors with a limited duty cycle as well. Saves wear on all fronts.
But are we talking the nTH degree here or something significant, I don't know honestly. In...
