There are 2 Ford dealerships near me.
The "Big" one is the typical 'part of a conglomerate' dealership that is shady.
The "Little" one I go to - they have bent over
Actually need to correct this. Its 2 years, 24K - same on the top per the accessories site. I spoke too soon :) Doh!
The one that failed is the original top it came with back in 2021. There's one thread on the Broncos on Dirt Mountain from September 2021, about a month before I took delivery of mine. Tere's no doubt in my mind its a V.1 top.
I won't know on the quality until the new top is installed next...
I use that same charger. If the LEDs are pulsing, it is charging. If its connected wrong, you will get an indicator with an arrow around a +/- to tell you its reversed, or the battery with an X on it saying its shorted or not detected on that charger.
I've had the same thing happen on a 2004...
Nope. Just the standard 12mo/12K mile warranty on accessories, which also sucks, but I did add a rider to my auto insurance specifically for the top itself. yeah, its another $25/mo on my insurance, but it still comes out cheaper in the end if the new one fails around the 3 year mark.
It wasn't much of a discount at $4,645.75 plus sales tax for the top itself. The labor they said would be minimal since its replacing an existing rather than installing as new meaning no harnesses, brackets, or hoses to install which should cut the labor to be no more than an hour at their flat...
Not sure if anyone here saw my post in another thread how mine had this problem.
Here's the rundown:
1. This is happening on mine around the driver's side rear window. Nowhere else on the top.
2. I am ~4 months out of factory warranty so of course Ford tried to deny any warranty coverage.
3...
Agreed. I stopped by the dealership and they tried to tell me Ford will most likely claim its 'due to weather' and not cover it. That sounds a bit like a cop-out given the history of the initial hardtop problems in 2021, its only on one side, not the top, not the rear, nor the passenger side...
And so the cracking begins on mine, too. And this is recent. I just washed it two weeks ago and those cracks were not there. They run all down the side under the glass, too.
And what's worse: mine is a 2021 First Edition. Its just out of the 3 year period by all of 4 months.
I suspect @Ford...
Only remotely related,.. but.. I bought 2 ESP plans through Granger and they made it a simple and easy process. However, my Bronco is in for it's Spring service and my dealership tried to tell me it doesn't have an ESP which I knew was wrong.
Glad I read this thread on it showing in the Ford...
About 2 months ago, I banged up the bumper on my Bronco and the passenger side got pushed back about 3/4 of an inch. In the process of removing it to get to the mount that got bent, I ran across this stamped into the passenger side bumper mount (Driver's side doesn't have this):
Yes, it says...
I got more than one battle scar doing some offroading this past weekend. One of the issues is the passenger side rocker panel got pinched pretty hard (rock rails took a bit of scratches, but that I can live with, the rocker panel not so much).
And yes, the fender flare is busted up a bit...
I've been remote/work-from-home since 2015. I don't have a designated workspace, so I always park in a visitor spot. Its closer to the building compared to employee parking, too :)
