I am running the Old Man Emu suspension upgrade on my 2-door Sasquatch, but I have not upgraded the upper control arms yet. I was wondering if anyone has some experience with the Old Man Emu upper control arms. What would be the benefit compared to continue using the OEM upper control arms...
Yes, that is definitely a good point. I was hoping for something more sturdy than the OEM plastic flares, but I can see that this might do more harm than good in case I make contact.
I’m on the hunt for aftermarket metal fender flares to replace my OEM Sasquatch plastic ones. I’m looking for something that’s a bit more sturdy and durable. If you’ve got any pictures or recommendations (especially for 2-door Bronco's), I’d love to see them! Thanks a bunch!
I had a similar idea. That location is great. It is out of the way but still easily accessible and does not take up any space that I would use otherwise. I disused a piece of extruded aluminum as a leg to support the weight of the power station. It is really solid and doesn't rattle or move at all.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I think I am leaning toward the 35x12.5x17 KO2s as a replacement for the Good Years. I am looking for a stronger sidewall, since I sliced one of my Good Years open on a trail this fall.
I had the same problem. The truck sagged really bad if we loaded up gear for any overlanding trip. I replaced the rear suspension with Old Man Emu shocks and their heavy duty springs. This worked great and didn't cost a fortune. No more problems with the back end hitting bump stops off-road when...
Thanks for all the tips! While the Bilstein OEM shocks were fine, the springs we're definitely too soft for any kind of load. I ended up installing a pair of Old man Emu Nitrocharger struts with heavy duty coil springs. They are spec'd only of a 4-door, but it worked great on my 2-door. That did...
Thanks for the tip! I have a '22 with a dealer-installed tow hitch, since the factory tow hitch (for lack thereof) kept me from getting a production slot. So, I assume I have the "A" type springs on my 2.3 2-door. I will definitely look into the "F" or "C" type springs.
I am very happy with these chairs from Costco. Very light and comfortable and the pack really small. https://www.costco.com/cascade-mountain-tech-ultralight-highback-chair%2c-2-pack.product.100743175.html
