I'd definitely be going topless more often with a setup like yours. I enjoy not having the roof but it's kind of a pain in the ass to take it off and put it back on.
No, the wiring goes over the top of the bumper. You can see it on the left. I ran it up near the passenger headlight and then across the engine bay. There is zero room to hide it behind the bumper

I agree. Buying the Ford one was a waste of points. It lasted all of two months. On the first hot weekend the glue failed and the clips detached from the material. Ordered a no-drill steel one that I found recommended on the forum and installed it and used the bags from the Ford one.
