Has anyone tried the MetalCloak reinforcement? I’m located in Buffalo NY and there’s an insane amount of road salt and brine used here. Everything steel I’ve put on the back of the truck has had rust issues (Turn Off-road reinforcement, ADD Rock Fighter bumper, etc) so I’m considering switching...
When I have had a problem with their parts, I have experienced great service with quick response. Expect that if you order from them it will take some time and you aren't going to get a ton of communication. For me, the quality of their stuff is worth it.
My truck got VERY sketchy at highway speeds when hitting bumps. Back end wobble with oversteer, stability control kicking in, etc. Turns out both rears were leaking. I am at 45k miles. New 6100s going on today.
I had waxoyl applied to my 2021 two years ago when I took delivery. It has kept surface rust from showing up under the truck for sure. I have done a bit of off-roading though and in places it’s been scraped off.
It’s going in tomorrow for a full refresh. They are pulling skids, power washing...
I only have 5/8” of front/rear spacer and I’m getting popping from the front driver side with left turns, seems to be getting more frequent. Can’t think the small amount of lift is causing it. Haven’t diagnosed it as being the sway bar links yet.
My passenger side does it. Start a photo album and take a pic every time it does it. You will need proof, dealer claimed they couldn’t reproduce on mine.
I ran one cable through the firewall (4 awg I think) and put a distribution block under the dash by the steering wheel brace, a little farther back or off to the side, towards the fuse box. Ran 8 awg to each kicker key amp (200.4 & 500.1) from the distribution block. Worked out really well!
Thought the snow packed grill looked cool on my badlands. Taken Sunday in East Aurora, NY (near Buffalo). Driving bans kept me from having too much fun this time, but I’ve parked in the yard on top of 2ft of snow without issue.
Is/will the JB4 be compatible with vehicles that have the Ford perf calibration? I already have the JB4 (thanks lethal), but interested in the rev matching with the Ford performance tune. Also curious if the JB4 will eventually be updated to work better with the expanded factory parameters.
That will be tight, my tires come close to the flares when flexed and I have 5/8” worth of spacer on all four corners. I am running the 315/70 KO2s, non-Sasquatch badlands.
Has anyone tried combining the four door panels with the window panels and shelf from jcr? I presently have those installed but would be interested in these for the lower sides.
