At this point, if the MOD MIC top on the bronco was not failing so predictably (my second is showing cracks in less than a year), I would not be interested in this top. I still like the Armadillo top design - other than the water pouring into the cab/ on your head as you exit part others have...
The idea of the panels being easily snapped on/off has appeal, though I wonder about the inside versus outside mount for the lower panel especially. It would require a more solid attachment (visualizing a panel separating at highway speeds), but might improve aesthetics and ease of cleaning...
Great snapshot of the operation @Chritaka. If they are listening, many thanks to the Armadillo team for allowing the share.
Four observations:
1. It is obvious work is being undertaken to fulfill orders and the amount of WIP looks a little out of balance with the backorder quantity.
2...
With that information, McGuard can steer you towards the correct options. Which, when I called customer service with a similar question about stock wheels and black lug nuts, the nice person I spoke to said about a dozen times to go with the stock equivalent and not to use anything other than...
Just to be sure we are talking about the same thing, 14x1.5 is the thread form (metric) - Bronco Raptor specific. Conical, as mentioned, is the seat style and is wheel specific - the shape at the bottom of the mounting hole. You still need length. Vossen should be able to provide a...
@popo_patty those are some great shots! Wish we had somewhere like that to run in New York.
Can you explain a little more what it is and where the sealant is failing? Is this the panel sealant for the seams?
Thank you!
I am to blame for the "hijacking". Though in the sidebar discussion about the rear mount, we got to learn some more cool things from @SierraBronco who continues to provide useful and interesting information on their built rig.
Maybe we can persuade @Maximus-3 to post some more detailed...
@DUSTYcazOREGON and @Slei - thanks fo the updates. Any chance you folks would share your order numbers?
Also, great looking installs on those that have them. It really is an attractive design. Any word from owners how easy it is to remove the gullwings and rear glass for that fully open feel?
I understand that winching occurs most commonly off axis, often severely. The plate steel this is made out of appears to be much thicker than the frame members and is not just a bent plate with gussets like most solutions, it is more like a c-channel with enclosed ends. The winch platform...
It is a two winch solution, not the same in both spots, but hidden and rear mounted.

Nice write up on the subtleties of installation. They do appear to have ample coverage. Curious to see what you find out. I cut some front ones out of a massive truck mud flap for my Raptor that do great at keeping stuff off the paintwork, but the slush still gets on the rear fender by the...
Lunch time thoughts: Setting aside the emotional appeals and conjecture for now, the facts are best confirmed by the TEXAS FABRICATION COMPANY home page where the parent/partner company, states:
Everything You Need Under One Roof
We have all the tools, equipment and experience needed to cut...

These are kind, appropriate, and supportive sentiments. You folks have certainly "put in the time" and will/have receive(d) the reward. I still want one, too. The installs we have seen look great. Thank you to those who have shared.
However, we can not overlook the deeper point: that...
@SierraBronco, love living vicariously through your reports. Sounds like an opportunity for a great factory option... How would you execute on that idea?
