Just finished the install replacing my previous “bull bar light mount” thing..
Had to get the recovery hooks in red in honor of my wrx STI that was sold to purchase my Bronco
Needed to drill out the light bar mount to fit the Midland bull bar antenna but this was definitely worth the wait!
I am mostly interested in mounting my BD LP6s on possibly a 'mini' bull bar. I do not have the front camera in my Bronco so blocking the view isn't a concern for me.
I just want a mounting solution that doesn't cause the lights to bounce around unlike the solution I am currently using.. **cough...
The bar itself is sturdy but it is welded on to a bended flat section of steal in order to snake its way in and around the bumper. This is where the issue is. Once mounted, the bar flexes at these tabs.
It will take a significate amount of force for it to snap or break, hence my comment on it...
The mounting "works" but it is not well designed.
I only say "works" because it allows you to mount lights "on" the Broncos 'capable bumper' and it is secure but the second you need your lights and the road is anything but smooth asphalt, they bounce around. This cause the light beams to be...
I mean I would just leave it in my garage when I don't need it.
When you're taking it to places where you will most likely need it, the people you encounter aren't looking to steal it from you.
I did the same except I left all the panels in my tent back at camp.
With all three of the panels off and the TRMR rack, the bronco doesn't look bad at all. With out the rack it looks like the Bronco has MPB! 😂
OEM Ford Roof Rack.
Upgraded my roof rack and now I am looking to sell this rack. Its a bit dusty and just needs to be wiped down. I have the tool/wrench and the bolts. to attach the front.
