NOOOOOO, there is no trimming. I thought the exact same thing when reading those directions, and so did my friend when we went to install them. I called the company and talked with a tech. There is no trimming suggested. I installed mine on my Sasquatch bronco and they work awesome though...

Just FYI - I struggled with the lack of slack too. I cut the zip tie off the clip and removed the top of the clip - it releases on the rounded end below where the white lever settles when removed. It gave me an inch or two to play with and after two attempts got the wire tapped.

I just called and spoke with Ford over the Air area. No luck. They told me the updates are rolling out by VIN, and my vin is showing nothing coming. We walked through everything and the only new tip was that the parking brake may need to be on for some updates….I’ll try it. Here’s the number...

As a quick fix, deflate down to 32 psi cold….they run better down there.

I just went out and played with my mirror lights. There are either two sets or two settings. The DM one light is really bright. The “there is a door open lights” aren’t as bright.

Since you’re in park on the touchscreen you can control all the exterior lights. Go into Features then Zone lights. Dang it—-I just tried this and the smaller lights under the mirror still stay on.
