I have been running the DRS air-operated bar from G2 Gear and Axle, for about a year and a half now, it has been wheeled hard and works flawlessly. Connect/disconnect with the flip of an aux switch...
One report that I read, indicated that the signal relay equipment being used by some thieves can amplify the relayed signals (both the initial one coming from the vehicle to the keyfob with the authentication request, and the response coming back, from the keyfob) a distance of up to 300 feet in...
This will not work with the Ford Intelligent Access system in our Broncos. The authentication request sent by the vehicle module to the keyfob, is unique per instance.

Was discussing this vulnerability / exploit with a friend who works in IT security (he owns an F150, which has the same Intelligent Access system). We sent some recommendations off to Ford yesterday, via their "Idea place" web portal:
"The key (pun intended!) to reducing the efficacy of this...
True, But the methods used by the thieves are equally effective on similar access systems from other auto manufacturers, as well.
It would be great if Ford gave us the ability to just turn the Intelligent Access feature on or off, via the touchscreen menus. That would mean that the...
This is exactly correct.
I'm not sure which trims / packages DON'T include Intelligent Access, but I think that it is included in all MID and higher packages, so, most Broncos DO have it.
I printed up a couple sets of these (also in PETG) but didn't have much luck with the retention/snap feature that holds the two halves together (breakage). I'm going to draw up something similar in F360 when I get some time, and see if I can get a better result.
