  1. The death of the stick shift is almost here.

My ordering turned out to be a nightmare. I had looked at and a number of times test drove a 24 2-door BB with a manual at one car dealership near me where it had set for months - apparently it had been ordered by someone who later changed his mind - but it was exactly the color - Azure Gray -...
  2. The death of the stick shift is almost here.

Big difference in goals and desires of the new vs old generations. I could not wait until I turned 16 to get my driver's license and got to drive my dad's rusted out 57 Chevy pickup with three on the tree. And my friends with jobs were all buying new sports cars and always with manuals. So when...
  3. How Can Ford NOT Build This?

Great Idea! - then Ford could add a new model - the "Bullitt Bronco".
  4. Whaaaat! This hurts. A little.

Since I have a wife and no kids, since the wife loves riding in the 2-door Bronco and being able to see out all the windows, since there is extra room in the garage for both my stuff and her stuff, since the rear seats are both pulled up so there is always enough room in the cargo area for...
  5. Whaaaat! This hurts. A little.

Only appropriate - there are never too many doors when getting all those kids on and off the School Bus Yellow Bronco:teehee:
  6. Do you call your Bronco a car or truck?

Depends on what you think it is when referring to it. My wife has a Subaru Crosstrek which is considered a "SUV" - a "Crossover SUV". But we call it her "car" or her "Subaru" - never her "SUV". But we always referred to my "Jeep" as my "Jeep" and my "Bronco" as my "Bronco" - never my "car"...
  7. Thinking about a Bronco

Test drive the Bronco with the stick and if you are a manual guy - like all of us on here who own the manual - you will love it. :)
  8. Ford Bull bar ?

Take a look at the IAG-Off Road site. Their bull bars are now made by IAG in America. I purchased the mini-bull bar for my modular bumper and am satisfied with it.
  9. LOOOOOOOONG Time member finally pulls the trigger

Yeah - Bronco owners for whatever reason do not wave. Now that there are so many of us Bronco owners if I did wave at every Bronco that I see I'd have to trade in my manual for an automatic so that I'd have a free hand to use just for waving. PS Of course that would NEVER happen -...
  10. Swiss Alps Badlands: A Bronco across the ocean

Congratulations - and welcome to the forum! Your Bronco looks great and like it is already to take on those Swiss mountains in the background. :)
  11. Before I put a hole in the dash somewhere.....

I own a 24 Bronco Big Bend which came with no Aux Switches and also had no factory wiring behind the front bumper. But I wanted bright driving lights that came with an on-off switch so I could have it installed on the dash next to the factory light switch. So I decided on the Diode Dynamics...
  12. I guess I am old. What else have you noticed.

Straight arm out for left turn, Bend arm out for right turn. But I would not try this with a police officer observing me - may not be a legal substitute for using the car's turn signals or the young officer may be totally clueless as to what I was doing:stop:
  13. I guess I am old. What else have you noticed.

And if you remember when you had to use your arm to signal how you were turning, then you're living on borrowed time!:lipssealed:
  14. I guess I am old. What else have you noticed.

Yep - that reminds me of my Dad's 57 Chevy Pickup that I learned to drive with. And at some point the MV law required him to add turn signals to make it legal to drive.
