I use a tailgate box for a JL which was an easy retrofit to my BD.

Here’s what I have. It’s a tailgate lockbox made by Tuffy for the JL. It was easy to retrofit to my BD. I run a firearms training business and just back up to the range and work out of it.

I plastidip my center hub. The black lug nuts are from Amazon and cost like $30 for 50 (Had to buy 2 packs of 25). I also blacked out the wheel weight.

Look for one off a Nissan. Mine was from an Altima and only had 3 wires. 1 negative, 1 positive for Homelink and 1 positive for auto dimming. Hooked both positives to the keyed power and it works perfect. Took me about 20 minutes and looks totally stock.

It’s a Gentex 453 off a Nissan Altima, only has 3 wires. Ground, one pos for Homelink and one pos wire for auto-dimming. I wired both pos to the keyed power in the back of the bronco mirror. Soldered and heat shrunk my leads. Done.

I added a Gentex mirror with Homelink. Cost me $40 on eBay and took 10 minutes to swap out. Looks totally stock.

Looks great. I just got these for Xmas.
