Update: So I haven't yet pulled things apart to check the wiring but I don't think it's a wiring gremlin at this point. I've attached a picture of what my front end looks like for visual reference.
Here's a breakdown of my issues thus far.
LH turn indicator blinks fast on the dash (both front...
Yeah, Factory headlights and taillights.
The LEDs are no longer tapped into the harness anymore. My thought process right now is that I didn't properly protect the area where the tap was connected and it might have broke or something. At least.. that's what I'm thinking in regards to the driver...
Yeah, when I originally tapped the wires I made sure to find the wiring diagram and only tap the positive wire for the DRLs. I just don't remember what I did to that wire when I removed the tap and the raptor lights last spring.
I definitely have to dig into it on my end - I'm just waiting for...
So for the past week or so, the left turn indicator on my dash has been fast blinking. The front and rear turn signals appeared to be working fine otherwise.
It wasn't until this morning that I noticed that the driver's side horizontal signature DRL bar (white LEDs) isn't always lit up when the...
Same. Though it was technically 25 months for me. Ordered March 1, 2022 .. canceled and requested a full refund April 1, 2024.
Now I'm on the fence as to what to do... As far as I know, nobody ships to Canada (correct me if I'm wrong) so means I'll have to go on a roadtrip to get a hardtop.
Ordered: 3/1/2022
"In production": 2/16/2024
As much as my patience is running thin, I feel like I'm too far into the process to cancel and start over with another company.
Word of warning if you go with the add a fuse route, don't use the Left-Hand Headlamp (#100, 20A) or the Right-Hand Headlamp (#101, 20A) as they have constant power.
Before tapping into the DRLs,I had used an add a fuse in #21, 10A. Which is live when the engine is running, or with accessory...
Not the most convenient solution but if you're already going to have the front grille off, just remove one of the headlights and locate the green-orange wire (pin 9) in the wiring harness connected to the headlight unit. That's what I used to tap into for the "raptor lights" I installed on my...
