If run higher than a one-to-one gearing is a torque multiplier... lower (over drive) would decrease torque

@EOD98 , Plus 1 on AAL Re question about your speakers… AAL bracket is 1/8” thick and uses the lower bolt/ screw from fords speakers. If your speakers still have a gap then it should work. edited here’s a picture… and the shelf is adjustable up/down
