Not knowing what your tire sizes are/were, I can confirm that going from 33” to 35” only threw my speedometer off by 1 mph. Just so happened that the town had just put in one of those solar powered radar signs on my commute so I got a confirmation every day haha. I ended up deciding not to...
Definitely worth a try - I did spend some time on the phone with them and while friendly, not terribly helpful. Your best bet is probably to swap your current factory springs onto the 6100s, unless you want a firmer ride or unless you plan on doing anything to make your Bronco heavier. If you...
Not just SAS springs - all springs. There’s a ton of different part numbers, all depending on the build weights. I’m pretty sure I found them somewhere on B6G. I’d guess the SAS springs you have are stiffer than the non-SAS just because of the difference in vehicle weight.
I didn’t go up an inch and I didn’t level my bronco, so I’m not going to chime in on clip locations. The more recent, revised installation manuals have been very accurate though.
But! I don’t think there’s a difference with the sas springs- the springs that come with your bronco are based on...
Anti-intrusion is really a more accurate term. The (only) purpose is to prevent the wheel from getting pushed into the footwell. The combination of the sleeve and the larger 35” tire also helps with that.
I figure the high clearance bars aren’t gonna hurt. The icon bars looked really well made...
Icon high clearance crash bars did not fit and I returned them. I bought some from Readylift that fit much better.
Somewhere on this forum there’s a post
from a guy who claims his company builds all of the Bronco frames. He said the crash bars are actually extensions and the sleeves are part of...
Sorry, I just looked through the thread again and couldn’t find this - is there a time frame for the new mini bull bar (mod bumper) that you’ve been developing?
I’ve got the RT Trails as well and have been happy with them. It’s a good looking tire, fares well off-road, and only occasionally flings rocks. Nothing that front flaps and running boards won’t stop. If you’re frequently driving in wet weather you might want to run the psi a little lower...
I use a greenworks pressure washer with a chemical guys foam cannon (and their soap). I don’t quite get that heavy lather you see pics of but it does coat ok. No complaints.
I will say that despite the claims, you definitely still need to get in there with a sponge or a mitt and scrub a bit...
Exactly what I did. At the time that I was looking, I had a hard time finding the C load KO2 in a 35”. There weren’t a lot of options of C load 35” tires at all. And if you start comparing the D rated versions of those tires it looks different. If I remember, there’s not even a D rated KO2 - I...
They are fine but not great on wet pavement. I make sure I don’t have to pull out from a side road too quickly and give myself more stopping time. Otherwise no complaints.
It’s worth pointing out that the RT Trail is -not- snowflake rated, if that matters to anyone.
I completely agree about...
I don’t have a ton of time on the KO2 but I did drive a Badlands equipped with them at Off Roadeo and mine did come with them stock. I changed them out almost immediately for the RT Trails - but only because I was going to 35s and was having a hard time sourcing the KO2. I’m glad I did, I like...
Yes, stiffer but more comfortable, if that makes sense at all. I do experience a sort of reverse brake dive when I reverse out of my garage in the morning. It squats a bit in the rear but quickly normalizes. I’ve taken them off road once and thought it was great. The only time I’ve taken the 2.0...
