Hi Ducati.
Yeah, I asked two dealers to replace it, but they declined. I have looked into whether the hood latch assembly has been redesigned. I don't think it has. Same part number and no mention by Ford of a redesign. At least one owner here has said the replaced part had the same issue.
So...
The random, always-at-midnight, hood latch alarm. The dealers I took it to said they "can't recreate it in the shop," so I finally had my mechanic jump it.
Somebody has already told you this I suspect. :- ) Forscan solves this, though you have to buy an OBD2 plug, download Forscan to your computer, read the forums here, and learn how to use it. I think the dedicated programming tools you can buy will do this too, though I did it the cheap way. :- )
Apparently it allows two columns of apps on the main screen and maybe different backgrounds? I haven't tried those bells and whistles, but the occasional connection issues haven't gotten any better. :- (
1. I'd first have said not to worry about the battery, but I spent time looking on the web and the answer apparently is at least one time a week for 20 to 30 miles. !!
2. I have never washed my Bronco. I often splash through mud puddles cuz I like the mud spray up my Oxford White side. :- )
3...
2013 Subaru Forester. I really liked it and it was reliable as heck. I would have gotten a new one, but Subaru phased out the manual transmission.
So ... I needed a four wheel drive SUV to get up into the mountains, and sometimes just to drive to the grocery store. :- )
I wanted a manual...
For 20 years I carried a 16 foot nylon tow strap in my Samurai and now my Bronco, and never used it .... until last summer when I had to use it to clear a road for my friends.
Really happy I kept that strap. :- )
My Subaru broke. So then all I wanted was another 4 wheel drive stick shift SUV, that wasn't a jeep. Nobody else makes one since Subaru gave up on manuals. :- (
I'm happy with this one though. The other day after a wind event I dragged 5 trees off the road up at the cabin so that everybody...
Same here. Basesquatch with manual. Grinding every morning till it warms up. I'm expecting to have trouble in about 5 to 7 years. 😳
But when the wind blew down 8 trees across my access road, I was really happy with the manual. 😊
