Getting tired of my fly rods banging around in the back
It turns out 2" PVC hold fly rod tubes very snug. Also, we have some M8 inserts built into our roll bar.
I ripped down the length of the PVC on the table saw, cut to length, mounted on a piece of plywood and bolted that to the roll bar...
Thanks everyone for this thread and your contributions.
I used stock viscosities (the Bronco lives at 9000 ft = cooler).
At 25K, front diff fluid was a bit dark, transfer case a bit darker. Rear diff looked great.
I think they have. My June 2022 hardtop has been great. No leaks or glue issues. They come off and go on as expected.
Overall, the truck has been excellent. I did chase down and resolve a small leak in the rear underfloor storage compartment. That was a design issue.
Helped my buddy Jim with his resto- boat. He is taking it to a competition this weekend.
It's a 1960 15' Glastron converted to electric.
He can run on plane for about 45 minutes at about 100 amps. Burst to 200 amps at about 18 knots using two big lithium batteries.
I must admit, I do carry a spare tie rod and wish the raptor steering gear was standard across the line.
But oh man, the ride is amazing in our Badlands...
Do you have a long grade heading toward your house. I notice a smell after shutting down from a long grade like up to the trailhead.
My previous F150 EB did it as well. The turbos get red hot!
Pull the back floor, remove the plastic tub and seal with weatherstripping or silicone caulk.
Reinstall. I also added two sheet metal bolts on the forward edge.
Mine was leaking under the forward edge of the gasket.
