1 or 2 flush mounted lights would be pretty rad - depending on the depth of the lights you were using. We recently did some flush mounted Diode Dynamics Rock Lights into the side of a customer's bumper on this truck and it turned out pretty killer. Wish I had pictures.

If you're looking to do something that can be a reverse light and a chase light, I like the Baja Designs kits. You could either go with S1 or S2 lights for regular use. And then when you want amber for the chase lights, just slap some amber translucent covers on and you're good to go. S1 Kit...
