order good PPF and take a door off. practice it. it isn't hard, but it is a skill. I have not done PPF on the bronco but the panel lines suggest it is easier. crappiest part is removing door handles. the fenders come off just as easy. if you have DIY skills, give it a go.
this is very much not concerning but I get you want to fix it. I have a few spots from wheeling that happen every year and I have some to fix this off season.
That looks well adhered, but flaking paint needs to be knocked down. Wirewheel, sandpaper, grinder, brush, anything will work...

I'm waiting on mine to ship, so have looked at the photos a few times. They've updated the page a few times since they went live, and in some newer photos you can see the flange better. They also just posted up the bill of materials which list is as 20CrMnTi. I do plan to use VT137...
