There are two versions of that bracket. One is much more stout and is called the "beefcake" version. Having an oversized light on any bracket that it wasn't meant for, is out of our control.

Size 13 here and haven't noticed the 575 getting in my way. I use the dead pedal religiously too. If I have my work boots on, I can shove my foot up there until it hits the 575, then there is about 1.5 inches below my boot....I hope...
Most likely an alignment issue. Loosen bolts on top of roll bar, push tray towards front of vehicle and tighten the bolts back up. Check the side brackets for loose bolts as well.
He is referring to our attic shelf for having to remove the cross brace. Our cargo shelf is Raptor compatible.
