Go to your local boating store or online boat store and you will see engine flush products. This same flush device is less money there. You can use Salt A Way and leave it in the rails no issue as it is designed to protect metal. Or just use liquid soap and flush it out.

That Salt Shift kit is the same i've bought and made before to flush my boat engines. We used Salt A Way or just soap to flush out the salt from the motors.
