  1. 2022 Bronco Badlands 2.3 reduced power

@dgorsett may be onto something, we've had issues with Ranger's holding too tall of a gear and causing chugging. Lugging the engine too much can contribute to knock as well, higher RPMs and lower boost is easier on it than the opposite. Sport mode, or goosing the throttle instead of rolling into...
  2. 2022 Bronco Badlands 2.3 reduced power

13 PSI isn't all that much- I'll typically get over 20 with wide open throttle. My best advice would be to switch up the fuel and see if it resolves the issue.
  3. 2022 Bronco Badlands 2.3 reduced power

What kind of fuel are you running? I'd definitely recommend top tier (national brand- Chevron, Shell, something like that) and if you're running normal you might want to step it up to mid grade or premium especially if you know you're going to be towing in mountainous terrain. That code is a...
  4. 2022 Bronco Badlands 2.3 reduced power

Ford service advisor here. That seems like a pretty unusual concern, running 13 psi constantly even pulling a trailer uphill is quite a bit of boost to maintain and definitely will cause a lot of heat. Have they said what the codes it sets are? Do you have more info on your vehicle- which trans...
  5. Are Stock Goodyear Territory MT tires terrible?

Took mine off at 10k after a rock sliced the sidewall and I caught a nail. Put on a set of C rated KO2s, been very happy with them. Sold the takeoffs for $300 and was happy I did.
  6. Ford Denying Warranty on Another 2DR Rear Window Defrost Connector Broken

There's a kit to repair the terminal available, I've also replaced rear glasses under warranty for this concern. This is the dealer not Ford.
  7. Best short radio antenna

Having the antenna touch on the way into the garage isn't going to hurt anything, as far as that goes...
  8. Bronco

So totally unrelated to the thrust of your post, but I noticed when you were trying to get over the rock at one point you apply the clutch and you can hear 4-5 quick click noises. I have the same noise on my 2 door manual Sasquatch, seems to be coming from the front left possibly transfer case...
  9. 2 Door Totaled. For What It's Worth [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Holy moly! I assume the Tacoma was the road rager?
  10. How do you get a loaner at the dealership?

Here's the deal- there's no such thing as a loaner, there are just rentals that somebody pays for. That might be the customer, the dealer, or Ford but there's no such thing as a 'loaner'. Ford warranty will pay for a rental during a repair that takes longer than a day, *but* that rental coverage...
  11. Bronco and the F-150 electronic E brake recall

Well, the corollary to you don't want to talk to the techs is that the techs don't want to talk to you either. It's their job to be fixing vehicles in the shop, it's my job to handle the customer and coordinate the repair. The reason I took offense to be labeled the 'technician's secretary' is...
  12. Bronco and the F-150 electronic E brake recall

I mean, service advisors and techs are kind of natural enemies as a result of different incentives. Anyway, consider me calmed =)
  13. 2.3l at altitude hesitation

It would make sense that it takes longer to build boost at high altitude. The turbo will build the same amount of boost and make the same power at altitude as at sea level (more or less), but since the air it is compressing is thinner it wouldn't surprise me if it took longer to build resulting...
  14. Bronco and the F-150 electronic E brake recall

Ducati1098 really ought to know better than to say what he did then. Guess it does prove my point about tech's being salty.
