Am still looking for a door jack/lift device (sorry I'm not very handy so won't be making my own) that can lift and replace the doors without breaking my back or scratching the doors (and yes, I do use the guide pins)...

Thanks. Do you use anything to cushion the door as it sits on the jack (other than the door bags)? And how to you balance the door and crank the jack at the same time?

I have the exact same problem with mine. In addition, I notice that the outer curve where the roof meets the panel on that side is wider than on the driver side (the side that doesn't protrude).
