@TruckCamper and I believe theres someone else in this thread, reach out to me directly and I will get up to speed here on your situation and what needs to happen. Chad and Quinn aren’t the people to get this type of stuff handled for you, and they should have passed you off to me or Bill. I’m...
Both times I’ve broken a CV wheeling was while winching. That’s one thing the solid axles guys/gals have, they don’t really have to think about that while winching…well I don’t either, hence the 2 broken CVs.
Saw a bunch of pictures from the Rubicon trip, absolutely insane how many articulation...
We've never had anyone reach out to us about any noise related to the Stage 1 steering. Stage 1 is just to add support to the rack, it does not affect any of the steering rack mechanism. From the sounds of it this is most likely chattering and feedback coming from a worn belt. I would have it...
Yeah, if anyone is running our portals and thinks the shaft seal is bad please let me know. If a seal is bad in most cases your diff would leak into your portal, in rare cases, if the portal is becoming pressurized for some reason it could push the oil into the diff.
Yes, stud broke. This customer did reach out, and it's being fixed.
With the 3G Tacoma, the studs appear to have come loose and then broke. Also fixed.
Neither of the above situation did the people blamed us for the failure, but we're still making sure they're sorted.
Actually I didn’t know you could. I see the posts and I’ll leave a comment if I think it would be of value. I do need to get back to your DMs though
Honestly, because it's on our website and I was trying to focus on catching up on work here and didn't want to get sucked into a long conversation at that point for info thats on our product specs. I figured it would get itself figured out, which it did.
Our shafts for our "bolt on" portals have always been 4340. Our race portals have a 300m input shaft/CV flange for the front, for the rear, if we provide shafts they are going to also be 300m, but it just depends if the builder is doing their own shaft or not.
TWC Racing races their 4th Gen...
Either I didn’t explain well or you just didn’t understand. What I was referencing is system level. I was answering a question about the o ring seal and architecture of the portal box and the longevity of that SYSTEM.
That SYSTEM is verified to work whether attached to a Bronco, Tacoma, or...
I understand what you’re saying, but that’s not really looking at testing correctly. When materials, hardware, and practices are known to work in an application you don’t need to test for a new platform.
the seals and assembly architecture is the same in our race portals, we know those things...
trying to figure out a way to answer this somewhat concisely but this may be rambling a bit. We have a bunch of test miles on the 4 gear portals internally before release, I’d say 8-10k, which was to Jeep. With Bronco specifically the difference are the unit bearing (on the early production...
