Haven’t checked on this thread in a while, looks like there’s a decent amount of these out in the wild now. Anybody switch from the MIC top yet and can attest that it was a worthwhile upgrade? My ship week is coming up and I’m trying to decide if I want to pull the trigger.

I have 22k on my current bronco that still has about the same amount of hood flutter as my first one. Aside from a few rock chips, my hood looks the same as it always has. Don't notice any deformations or anything like that.

That’s kind of what I’m thinking. I never use the rear wiper and I got my fill of the top being off last summer. Ideally I’d want a one piece top but two pieces is fine. My lot allocation is in April so I have some time to decide.

Anybody scheduled to get theirs soon that is switching from a factory MIC top? That’s the comparison I’m waiting for before I pull the trigger.

Yep, I plan on doing a few versions of this before I finalize it. This was just a proof of concept. I’d really like to attach the foam and some weatherstripping to the MIC top itself instead of just cramming the insulation in there. But how I have it now isn’t that noticeable.

Update: I have to say, this made a noticeable improvement. Less cross wind noise for sure and it is much quieter at freeway speeds. Now all I hear is minor wind noise from my roof rack and tire/road noise (stock goodyears at 16k). The reverberation noise is greatly decreased. I also feel like...
