Correct, you don't lose fluid but fluid replaces the pad wear in the hydraulic cylinder. You will see a sleight drop in fluid level as the pads wear.

Loved the 4.6. Had it in a 1997 Expedition. I think I averaged 23 mpg. Bought an Eddie Bauer 2000 expedition and was lucky to get 15 mpg with the 5.7. And I blew out a spark plug on the 5.7 right at 90,000 miles. I had to put a heli coil in to fix it.

My 2 door V6 might not be rare but it surely went up in value. If you want a 2 door V6 you now have to pay over $75,000 for a Stroppe model.
