Came here to say the same... sold my '06 Elise a little while back. Most people will never know just how much fun it is to drive one of these at the limits. I have driven a lot of faster cars, but none were as fun as a Lotus.
Yes, for sure. I own a shop where we do that kind of thing (ppf, tint, ceramic coating, etc.) There are good products now that are made for plastics that are a good option for the top. Gives it some UV protection and makes it hydrophobic. No downside.

Works great for lug nuts/bolts, brake caliper bolts, exhaust bolts, etc.
