Just happened to me. replacing soon. Seems like this is becoming a know issue..

I'm gunna go with fuel..Looks like there might be a couple outlines of repeated fuel drying cycles that would possibly leed to a "Oil" like build up.

I have the Wagner high mount cooler. I'm not sure about my Coolant temp but i did notice an increase in my oil temps. I saw my oil temp get to 245 heading north to Vegas pulling a grade at 85 MPH. I'm in the process of adding an Aux oil cooler. I'll update temps at a later date.

Is the cooler on the passenger Cyl head you're referring too NOT the engine oil cooler?

Speed. Speed will fix 80% of any problem 100% of the time.
