It’s been proven to be a problem in other platforms that have been out longer lol.
Belt soaked in used oil and heat cycled won’t last too many years for the same reason tires don’t last after so many years IMO
I warned people in the comments of a lot of posts about this and you guys said I’m dumb and the belts won’t fail. This one has been soaking for a max of 5 years. .

The wheel mounting face isn’t the center of the bearing though so positive offset is required to get the centerline of the wheel closer to the center of the bearing so it’s not hanging out on a huge lever. Stock wheels are 7.5” wide +55mm (ideal) or 8.5”+35mm. A 10”+ wide heavy wheel with what...
I copy and pasted some engineer’s math on this topic, keep in mind the wheels in your pic are wider than 8” too so it’s substantially higher load on the hubs than even these calculations and this is static load, parked, not hitting potholes at speed bouncing the outer edge of the tire that’s...
69,000 miles of the infamous getrag rattle for the first few minutes of under 50 degrees driving on my 23 base sasquatch and it still shifts nicely. I’ll spend the $1525 or whatever for a whole new MB3Z-7003-F trans or the latest revision when I replace the clutch whenever that may be.
Havent datalogged in nor do I care to but it feels like it closes throttle on me for a fraction of a second to prevent abuse, if I shift just barely slower/softer it stays in boost a lot better. It’s gotta be some form of torque management strategy.
It was about 50* at 4am in Dallas last fall, forgot DA but it was a couple hundred either side of 0ft. It’s got a 14.5 in it for sure with slower shifts where torque management isn’t trying to prevent me from breaking it. I’ll probably try again tomorrow morning while I’m thinking about it now
Here’s my best so far with fp tune, drop in K&N, mishimoto intercooler and full piping kit, and a Borla muffler. 4.70 gear Sasquatch 7mt leaving in 4H and switching to 2H in 2nd. Excited to see what you gain with a real tune, I’ve tuned all my own turbo LS and modular hotrods myself but never an...
I hear you, valid concern, but the leather seats come with tilting head rests and at least one setting on them is further back than how these come from the factory. Also, I don’t see my neck breaking when it’s still fully supported in a straight vertical line vs the chin clapping stock angle haha.
Wife said I kinda have tech neck and I need to work on my posture. Thinking about why, while driving, I realized my non-adjustable headrests push my head unnaturally forward when I rest my head on it and I’ve had my seat adjusted a little farther back to compensate and it’s uncomfortable to put...
Functional beadlock user here. 6 months I kept forgetting to retorque, only about 4 bolts total took about 1/4 turn to reach torque. I put them on myself with tire spoons and have tire shop balance. As far as legality: I honk at someone at least once a week driving with their lights off at 4am...
