I worked for a mainframe software company in San Jose that was acquired by Compuware. I worked on mainframe debugging tools. It was about 30 years ago when I started with them.
The wind wasn't bad compared to most hurricanes I've seen. Even up here. The bad part was the waves and swell that built up as that thing took it's time moving along.
Switching to Badlands.
1. Want the MGV interior.
2. Don't want the colors available on FE.
3. Want the towing package - not a deal killer since it could be installed later though.
Losing a dock is a major pain. It takes a long time to get the permits to replace it. And where we are located they don't like to work a boat to install it. If you do it from land it has to be shorter.
I feel bad for them as well.
I love Raptors. They are probably too big for many of the trails we find ourselves on though. I also ride with the doors off most of the year. I did put some thought into that option.
This is our camper. It fits under the 3500 lb limit. Hitch weight is at the limit. GCVWR is close to max as well. Weight distribution hitch and anti-sway bars keep it under control and the Jeep level.
So you can tow a pretty decent size camper with a 3500 lb limit. Just have to load it...
It's not a deal breaker by any means. But it would have been nice to have a higher capacity. We pull a camper that weighs right up to the limits of the Wrangler or Bronco. While we aren't over capacity it would be nice to have more capacity so we don't need to be as careful how we load it. A...
