Mine has the stock Grabbers and 44k miles. The tread is very worn, they are loud as a mud tire and have horrible traction in snow and wet. I will be getting BFG's on it as soon as I can sell my old truck.
Do rear flaps help keep the rear window cleaner? It finally snowed here in Denver and the rear window was constantly wet and dirty. Never had it this bad with any other vehicle.

I agree with much of what you posted. The Chrysler redesign of the 258 was a giant leap forward in performance and reliability. And Chrysler did improve on a poor product from the AMC years. But they were still Chryslers- not Hondas or Toyotas in terms of reliability and longevity.

Jeeps have never been know for their reliability. At times they have sourced good components (Dana, Buick 225 V-6)) and have come up with some decent stuff on their own- 258 straight six comes to mind, even though it was difficult to carburet correctly. But that's more a function of a single...
