Forgot my 62 Falcon Futura has a similar story. I was built with a Thunderbird top not the round one. They only did a small number of them and sent them out to dealers to see how well they would be received. Its a pretty cool old car thats a blast to drive and take to the shows.

Your missing my point. Some of them need to be saved from the crushers 15 or 20 years from now. Next time your at a show looking at some cool car or old Bronco there is someone like me that saved it.

You are 100% correct on all accounts! The 6th gen may very well go down in history as an absolute pile of junk.

I understand what you think but as an antique car collector who buys and sells a lot of automobiles it matters. I have the means to buy a different one for an everyday driver and the ability to save this one if it turned out to be something special.

I am. If it is a low VIN something special I will just buy another one that isn't. I'm an old car guy and down the road that stuff matters.

Wanted to share with you all I finally got a decent enough day up here in Alaska to put the seat covers on. I ordered the set from Tiger Tough and I'm very happy with the way they went on and the quality. Price point was decent also.
