  1. Death Valley - Titus Canyon

Sounds like a nice trip. Do you need permission to travel the backcountry road on Hualapai Nation Land?
  2. No power to my upfitter switches

The upfitter switches do not have power. You must connect the wires that go to them (located on the firewall) to something that has a power source. They just turn the power on and off (probably through grounding). At least that is the way I interpret it. So far, I have just followed the...
  3. Skid plate protective coating -> Truck Bed Coating or similar product?

I don't think there is a protective coating the will stand up to the abuse armor can get. I just get out a rattle can of black paint and touch up the scratches to help keep them from rusting. Works great until the the next time, then I repeat.
  4. One of the Largest Manufacturers Gone Bankrupt!!!

You caught me. I meant to say counterfeit.
  5. One of the Largest Manufacturers Gone Bankrupt!!!

I recently bought 3 Motorcraft oil filters for my Bronco online through Walmart. Should i be concerned they are confederate? They look look exactly like the one i bought for my last oil changed that I got from Auto Zone.
  6. What Maintenance Do You Actually Do on Your Bronco?

I do all the maintenance on all my vehicles. One exception is the transmission, other than some seals. I change the fluid or gear lube but don't do internal work. I have not had much maintenance on my Bronco yet but have done a lot on additions.
  7. Lower ball joint nuts missing or fell off??

I agree but sometimes castle nuts and cotter pins can be a hassle too.
  8. Who got hit by a motorcycle?

I didn't get hit but it was close. Last week I on the freeway in CA. looking to merge into the #1 lane. I saw a bike coming and let him go by. Looked again in my left mirror and blind area mirror and it was totally clear. Started moving over and suddenly I could hear a bike coming fast. I...
  9. Lower ball joint nuts missing or fell off??

Are torque to yields nut a real thing? I have used torque to yield bolts but I don't see the purpose or what would yield in a nut.
  10. Cracked Windshield - Non OEM replacement

I have USAA and they always send out Safelite to change my windshields. Safelite kind of complain when I ask for OEM but they come though. I have not had a windshield replace on my Bronco yet but many times on my two Rangers.
  11. Dollhouse round #2, redemption

That is for sure. There is another flat area beyond the Flint Trail that gets washed out and can get muddy. One time when it was dry my rear tire slipped into a deep wash at the side of the trail there. I just kept my foot on the accelerator and drove sideways for a while until the tire got...
  12. Dollhouse round #2, redemption

I have never seen it like that. Did you have too drive out in mud?
  13. California Free Transmission Jack

That looks like it is used for removing the transmission with the vehicle on or near the ground. I may be interested in it but I would need to see it in person. How much lift does it have from fully down to full up?
  14. Eibach Pro Truck 2.0 Coilovers - My Experience / Review

They are for off-roading but are not warrantied for racing or racing like activity. So, I guess if you blast across the dessert at high speeds they are not covered under warranty. They will also not honor the warranty if you over load beyond Fords rated load capacity. Key takeaway on this is...
  15. Who's still on their original Bronco windshield? 👀

I still have my original windshield. I purchased in Nov. 24 and have about 8K miles on it. I did get hit with a strong wind gust with sand and debris. That gave the windshield some minor small sand blast pits but not noticeable until going directly into the sun. Not bad enough to do anything...
