I'm going to touh of the paint with @huey suggestion. And I've determined that I must accept the "passive layer" of rust on the axle-shafts and driveshafts. I'm rather bummed, but with today's comments/suggestions, I'll leave the "passive layer"...- FORDGE37

yep, used it on lots of pre-48 car/truck stuff, trailers, etc. POR-15 is awesome! Can be a bit heavy, won't use it on a driveshaft/axle-shaft. But is great stuff!- FORDGE37

Yes, just surface rust and no mechanical/operational issues. But it looks like $*!t under my (wife's) prestine Bronco. Again, a bit OCD, and I like to keep my vehicles just as clean under as on the top... This Bronco is great, I can roll around under it on a mechanic's creeper... Now my...- FORDGE37
