My two door did the same thing and this is what has happened. There are two cables that run from the lever, one releases the seat back to fold forward the other one to allow the seat to move forward. Those cables run through plastic tracks when the make a curve under the seat. Those cheap...

It’s not a high end luxury vehicle. It’s new and does have issues Ford is still working out. Way way over complicated for an off road vehicle. But with all that said I love my Bronco. Don’t over think it, just do it!
