Looking to buy a Bronco soft top. I have a 2022 Badlands SAS. Unfortunately a dealership completely mis-installed and subsequently destroyed mine upon a warranty repair and I am beyond fed up with trying to get it fixed properly again. I've been through every channel I can possibly go through...
I've seriously considered hiring a lawyer, but as many of you have pointed out, it would likely just cost me even more. I’ve also thought about picking up someone’s used soft top—but good luck finding one that’s both affordable and in decent condition. That would just be more money out of my...
This is a long long story but Ill just keep it as short as possible:
Brought 2022 Ford Bronco into Jones Ford of Buckeye Az Oct 2024 for an oil change and warranty repairs on the soft top.
Parts were ordered; I was told to return once they arrived.
Returned mid-December — was told repairs were...
I would certainly ensure they have experience with replacing the top because it’s very evident the tech here never has or is just negligent. The more I look, the more shoddy repair work I find.
ya no, I’m easygoing and understanding but not that much. Just because I may scratch and damage my car while on the trails doesn’t mean it’s ok for them to do so. At the end of the day it’s an almost 60k vehicle. Having the top not only done incorrectly but also damaging my vehicle… in multiple...
Did they fix all the things they damaged?
No I know this to some extent because I had a soft top for 10 months prior but that spot in the photo is rediculous. Hard to see I guess from that angle but that specific area is not taught and it’s glued or tensioned much less in that specific area...
I wish it were that simple. Seems they have done everything to not have to replace the frame, yet that is what had half the issues (not locking, leaking from improper sealing, lever release not engaging/disengaging, etc) so they so far have attempted to just replace the soft top (horribly) and...
If it wasn’t a warranty repair I’d never had done it. Trust me I’m regretting it now. I am very careful as well and always made sure not to put the top down aggressively. I guess I just thought they would treat a customers vehicle a little better than like trash.
I’m pretty mad. I already sent an email to my service advisor and I think I need to just send an email to Ford corporate because I’m just over this game. I think what really pisses me off is the technician damn well knew he damaged things and said nothing as if I wouldn’t notice. That and he...
Maybe a technician here can enlighten me, I know I've heard people say the soft top is complex and difficult to work on but is this rocket science? Also how unacceptable is this service?

I suppose the nice thing is, once these hit the market there, the numbers/types of aftermarket parts is going to skyrocket. I want me some different colored grab handles like that without it having to be a bubbly sticker 🤣
Well we've finally come to an end. I appreciate everyone's help on this no-so-fun ride. Today I had the window replaced and for all those that were curious, no the VIN sticker was not hidden behind it or under it.
I contacted the dealer earlier last week who stated their body shop are the ones...
Its a longshot, but might as well try. I have yellow grab handles I would like to trade for grey ones. I can throw in the yellow cord door netting (front and rear) as well if wanted. Ill add photos if needed but everything is new looking. I am willing to buy some grey grab handles as well if you...
I agree with you. That said, I told them in reality its their issue either way if I decide to go that way. Either I bring it in and they fix it, or I give it back to the PO and he brings it in. Either way its their problem. Plus its the 21st century, its quite simple for them to figure out how...
