  1. Doubled rear cross frame - increased hitch tongue weight - OEM frame is 1/8” thin!

    OEM tongue weight is 350 lbs and I want to carry my exc-f on the hitch and since the load would be farther I doubled the rear frame to beef up the hitch tongue capacity. Super tedious work and had to modify the muffler location to make space for a second cross frame.

    That reach to the jack looks tight but it looks like you have it figured out. I've contemplated taking the passenger seats out to see if I could sleep in there, I'm 6'2"!

    I love mine however it I could change one thing I'd stretch the wheelbase 3" to get a full 24" depth to the cargo area - 2-door specifically. And, I'd cancel the 4-door model! :rockon:

    That protrudes into the cargo space - way too inefficient! The 2door has ~21" space from tailgate to back of seat, 4door doesn't have miles more either. I found that many tailgate tables are unnecessarily thick and use up too much space. After trying 3 different ones I ended up making my own...

    Short answer, carriage bolt thru the blade with wing nut and quickfist clamp for the handle.     I like that however it must block your rear view. Mine is daily driver, clean appearance, no roof racks, to stickers, modern classic.
